Job Description
Step into a dynamic contract opportunity starting September 1, providing speech-language services to a vibrant student population. This role is ideal for Speech-Language Pathologists with a passion for supporting young learners in a school setting, including those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). The position is based in a single building, ensuring a cohesive work environment and ease of collaboration with staff.
Your caseload will center primarily on students in grades K-4, with a small number of middle school cases, totaling 19 students plus potential speech improvement students. Leverage your expertise in pediatrics, healthcare, and teletherapy to create meaningful impact and foster communication skills for academic and social success.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current state SLP license (or eligibility for licensure)
- Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates welcome
- Experience or practicum in school-based pediatric settings
- Proficiency with teletherapy platforms is a plus
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary school team
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans for a diverse caseload
- Deliver group and one-on-one sessions, both in-person and virtually
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and support staff to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to student intervention plans
