School Occupational Therapist | Kennesaw, Georgia

Exciting contract opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support young learners during a maternity leave coverage. This role will serve elementary students across two schools, as well as an individual from a private school, offering an engaging professional environment near Kennesaw, GA.

Stepping into this position, you’ll collaborate with educational staff to help children develop crucial life and learning skills. Your expertise in pediatric and school-based OT will ensure each student receives compassionate, effective support through tailored interventions and creative, meaningful activities.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current and active Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Georgia
• Recent experience providing OT services in a school environment strongly preferred
• Knowledge of IEP development and documentation procedures
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work alongside teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Flexibility to travel between assigned locations

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy assessments and interventions to students at two elementary schools and one private school student
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the goal-setting process
• Maintain accurate and timely reporting of student progress and therapy sessions
• Adapt therapy activities to meet a diverse range of student needs and developmental levels
• Consult with staff and families to build supportive, accessible learning environments

Position Details:

• Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours weekly
• Assignment runs from November 2nd to January 29th, with possible extension through February 26th
