Job Description
Join a collaborative early childhood educational team as a full-time School Psychologist for the upcoming academic year. Make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners ages 3 and 4 by providing essential screening, assessment, and student support services. This contract position offers set hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the assignment running from mid-August through the end of May. Orientation will take place prior to the school year’s official start to ensure a smooth transition into your vital role.
Qualifications:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement
- Prior experience or specialization working with early childhood populations (ages 3-4) preferred
- Strong background in administering play-based assessments and screenings
- Solid understanding of the IEP process and ability to participate in initial meetings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct screening and play-based assessments for an early childhood caseload
- Participate in and facilitate the development of initial Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide ongoing day-to-day support for students, teachers, and families throughout the academic year
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure all students’ social, emotional, and educational needs are met
- Maintain accurate records, contribute professional insight, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations
