Key qualifications:
- Active, valid license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in North Carolina
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Previous experience in K-12 educational settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Ability to develop and carry out Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Flexibility to adapt therapy approaches to meet student needs
Primary responsibilities:
- Assess and evaluate students for speech, language, voice, and fluency deficits
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide targeted, evidence-based speech therapy individually and in group settings
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to track student progress
- Maintain accurate service records and comply with all confidentiality standards
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and professional development activities
