P&C Pricing Actuary – Commercial Lines
\n Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

Growing commercial P&C insurer is seeking a pricing-focused Actuary to join its actuarial team. This role will lead pricing analyses, support complex account underwriting decisions, monitor portfolio performance, and help drive data-driven business strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain pricing models to support underwriting decisions
\n • Analyze portfolio performance, profitability, and emerging trends
\n • Provide pricing support for large and complex commercial accounts
\n • Partner with underwriters and business leaders to deliver actionable insights
\n • Build and automate data pipelines, dashboards, and analytical tools
\n • Research market trends, cost drivers, and pricing opportunities
\n • Mentor junior analysts and review technical work
\n • Lead actuarial and cross-functional projects as needed

Qualifications

• 4–8 years of actuarial pricing experience
\n • Commercial P&C insurance background preferred
\n • 5+ actuarial exams completed; ACAS/FCAS preferred
\n • Strong SQL skills; Python, R, or VBA a plus
\n • Excellent analytical and communication skills

Compensation

$140 - 180k base DOE
