Job Description

As a Pipefitter, you will be responsible for preparing, fabricating, installing, and maintaining piping systems for industrial and commercial construction projects. This role requires the ability to read blueprints, accurately measure and fit pipe, and ensure all piping systems are installed according to project specifications and safety standards. You will work closely with other skilled trades to support project completion while maintaining a safe, clean, and productive work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Hourly Rate: $33-$35, $150 per diem for travelers with proof

Required Skills

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and piping specifications.
  • \n
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of industrial piping systems, fittings, and installation techniques.
  • \n
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with welding, soldering, brazing, and pipe fabrication techniques.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • \n
  • Must provide and know how to safely use basic hand tools.
  • \n
  • Must provide required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • \n
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced construction environments.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine piping layouts and installation requirements.
  • \n
  • Measure, cut, thread, fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems according to project specifications.
  • \n
  • Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and secure installation of pipes, valves, and related components.
  • \n
  • Perform welding, brazing, soldering, and other pipe joining methods as required.
  • \n
  • Conduct pressure testing, inspections, and system checks to verify integrity and proper operation.
  • \n
  • Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues while maintaining quality workmanship.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the project.
  • \n
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
  • \n
  • Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • \n
  • Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
  • \n

Experience

\n
    \n
  • Previous pipefitting experience in industrial, commercial, or construction environments preferred.
  • \n
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints and piping drawings.
  • \n
  • Knowledge of pipe fabrication, installation, and testing procedures.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and safe work practices.
  • \n
  • Required experience level may vary depending on the specific project.
  • \n
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, crouching, lifting, and working in various weather conditions.
  • \n
  • Comfortable working around moving mechanical equipment, elevated work areas, and other construction site hazards.
