This role will be a 6-month contract-to-hire position. It will sit onsite in OshKosh, WI within general business hours (M-F 8 hour days).


Must-Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • CAD (Creo) experience
  • Experience creating engineering documentation, drawings, specifications


Plusses:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Automotive or heavy-duty vehicle systems experience
  • Windchill PLM experience
  • Experience in multifaceted product development environments
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers or technicians
  • Production support/manufacturing engineering exposure


Day-to-Day:

  • Design and develop functional, reliable, and cost-effective heavy-duty vehicle components
  • Perform engineering analysis, calculations, and design validation
  • Support new product development and redesign of existing vehicle components
  • Create and maintain CAD models, engineering drawings, and bills of material
  • Evaluate designs for performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing and production teams
  • Investigate and resolve engineering issues reported by internal stakeholders
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, proposals, and documentation
  • Guide and mentor entry-level engineers, designers, and technicians as needed
  • Manage small engineering projects or portions of larger programs

This individual will support the design, development, integration, and validation of heavy-duty vehicle components and systems. The ideal candidate will leverage strong CAD expertise, engineering analysis capabilities, and troubleshooting skills to support both new product development and existing vehicle platforms. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge defense vehicle programs, collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams, and opportunities to work on complex mechanical systems involving advanced vehicle technologies.
