Job Description
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An urgent opportunity is available for a Clinical IV Pharmacist with a focus on home infusion and clinical pharmacy practice. This contract-to-hire role, lasting approximately 3-6 months, involves working within a collaborative healthcare environment dedicated to patient safety and quality care.
Location:
- Walnut Ridge, Arkansas
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Every third weekend required
Responsibilities:
- Verify intravenous (IV) medication orders to ensure accuracy and safety
- Prepare and compound IV medications within a clean room environment as needed
- Apply strong clinical expertise in evaluating and interpreting laboratory results to support pharmacotherapy decisions
- Perform additional clinical pharmacy duties to support patient care and team needs
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in various areas as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of current experience as an IV pharmacist
- Hold an active and unrestricted Arkansas pharmacist license
- Successfully pass background check and drug screening without issues
- Exhibit strong clinical skills with proficiency in lab result interpretation
- Adaptable and eager to support multiple aspects of pharmacy operations
