Bring your passion for special education and dedication to student growth to an elementary school in the vibrant Denver area! This full-time, onsite contract position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for K-5 learners in a supportive environment.

As the lead Special Education Teacher in a single school setting, you will specialize in teaching Math and serve as the case manager for approximately 10 students, while teaching all 20 students in your classroom. You’ll work closely with 3-4 paraprofessionals, providing guidance and leadership to ensure individualized learning needs are met and all students feel supported.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid high school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience or strong interest in special education for elementary students
  • Skilled at managing and leading teams of support staff
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a variety of learning styles
  • Knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs) and experience tailoring curriculum
  • Willingness to undergo a district-led background check upon offer

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging math lessons for K-5 students in special education
  • Serve as case manager, maintaining accurate records and coordinating services for assigned students
  • Lead and collaborate with a team of 3-4 paraprofessionals in your classroom
  • Create an inclusive and positive classroom atmosphere
  • Participate in scheduled panel and virtual interviews with district staff

This contract runs through the school year, Mon-Fri, with a manageable caseload in one supportive school. Interviews will take place virtually the week of 7/8-7/10.
