Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract role providing speech-language pathology services in a school-based setting. Beginning September 1, you’ll support a diverse caseload of 19 students, with the potential for additional speech improvement cases, all within one building for ease of collaboration. Most students are in grades K-4, while a few are in middle school, offering a variety of developmental experiences. This full-time position is perfect for both experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows interested in making a meaningful difference in children’s communication skills.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Active State Speech-Language Pathology license or eligibility
- Experience in school-based or pediatric SLP settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of teletherapy platforms and best practices
- Comfort supporting children from kindergarten through middle school
- Collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other specialists
- Ability to work independently and manage a consistent caseload
- Completion or pursuit of Clinical Fellowship (CFY) in Speech-Language Pathology is welcome
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy services to students, primarily in grades K-4, with a small middle school caseload
- Evaluate and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech-language intervention
- Provide teletherapy sessions as needed, making use of digital tools to enhance communication
- Work closely with classroom teachers and parents to support progress and generalization of speech goals
- Track and document student performance, adjusting therapy as needed
- Participate in team meetings and professional development as required
