Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a full-time School Psychologist on a contract basis. Serving a close-knit school community near Townsend, DE, you’ll play a key role in promoting students’ academic, emotional, and social well-being for the upcoming school year.
In this on-site position (with potential hybrid flexibility), you’ll collaborate with caring educators and dedicated staff to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment for young learners.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid School Psychologist certification or eligibility for certification
- Previous experience working with elementary school populations preferred
- Understanding of comprehensive psychological evaluation practices
- Skill in developing and guiding individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior interventions
- Strong communication abilities to work with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to ethical practice and student confidentiality
- Adaptability to the dynamic needs of a school environment
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting psychological assessments for students referred for academic, social, or behavioral concerns
- Interpreting testing results and making recommendations for classroom accommodations or interventions
- Supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of IEPs
- Providing consultation and collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families
- Supporting crisis intervention efforts and promoting mental health awareness within the school community
