This flexible contract opportunity near Hockessin, DE offers both full-time and part-time options, accommodating 37.5 hours weekly (Monday through Friday). Your placement within the district will be determined prior to the start date, with the majority of your time spent onsite and occasional homebound visits as needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active Delaware Occupational Therapist license is required
- Experience delivering OT services in school settings preferred
- Comfortable providing both in-building and home-based support
- Ability to adjust to fluctuating caseloads and diverse student needs
- Commitment to collaborative work with educators, families, and other professionals
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to K-12 students to promote participation in learning and daily routines
- Travel between assigned school locations and student homes as necessary
- Evaluate student needs, develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain thorough records and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Adapt interventions as caseloads fluctuate throughout the year
