English Language Arts Gen Ed Teacher - Wetumpka, Alabama

• Valid Alabama Teacher’s Certification with an English endorsement (Bachelor’s degree or higher required)
• Demonstrated classroom experience in general education, particularly ELA at the secondary level
• Comfort leveraging technology to enhance instruction and prepare students for success in the 21st century
• A positive, proactive communicator able to build strong relationships with students, families, colleagues, and school visitors
• Flexibility, dedication, and a collaborative mindset

Key responsibilities:

• Create a classroom environment that encourages learning, personal growth, and creativity
• Build rapport and provide encouragement, helping students develop essential academic and interpersonal skills
• Motivate students to gain the knowledge and confidence needed to excel in ELA and beyond
• Use innovative teaching and technology tools to make lessons engaging and relevant
• Collaborate with school staff and participate in typical onsite duties or school events
• Support a welcoming, respectful classroom for all learners
• Fulfill other assignments as directed by school leadership
