Make a difference supporting student success as an Occupational Therapist in a dynamic school setting near Hartford, CT. Starting late August and running through the end of November, this is an excellent contract opportunity for a dedicated OT eager to provide hands-on support to students across multiple school sites.

In this onsite role, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to foster student growth and independence. Your expertise will help students build the functional skills they need to thrive in the classroom and beyond.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapy license in Connecticut (required)
  • Previous school-based OT experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of school-aged developmental milestones and intervention techniques
  • Excellent communication and collaborative problem-solving abilities
  • Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site environment
  • Ability to travel between school buildings within the district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students based on IEP goals and district needs
  • Conduct thorough assessments and document student progress
  • Develop and implement effective, individualized intervention plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student participation
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to IEP development as needed
  • Provide guidance and resources to school staff on strategies that facilitate student success
