Job Type: Part-Time -5 hours per day, 4 days per week (Monday-Friday)

No evenings, weekends, or on-call responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join a Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care, including assessments, diagnosis, medication management, psychopharmacology, and treatment planning for children and adolescents ages 10-21. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, support families, and provide education and training on psychiatric conditions and medication management.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management.

• Diagnose and treat children and adolescents (ages 10-21) using DSM guidelines.

• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.

• Develop and update individualized treatment plans.

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and community providers.

• Educate patients, families, and staff on psychiatric conditions and medications.

• Participate in clinical team meetings and treatment planning.

• Complete documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).

• Ensure compliance with New York State regulations and professional standards.

Education, Licensure & Experience

• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) with Psychiatric/Mental Health specialization.

• Board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

• Active New York Nurse Practitioner license.

• Active DEA License.

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.

• Experience prescribing psychotropic medications to children and adolescents.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology.

• Experience using electronic health records (EHR).

• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
