Position Summary
The Production Manager oversees plant production operations, including blending, filling, shipping/receiving, raw material handling, inventory control, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance. This role is responsible for driving operational efficiency, leading production teams, and ensuring regulatory compliance in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead daily production activities, scheduling, and workforce management.
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor production performance, inventory levels, and operational metrics.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company standards.
- Oversee preventative maintenance and facility support activities.
- Develop employees through training, coaching, and succession planning.
- Support automation, process improvement, and plant technology initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience within a chemical or process manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing production teams.
- Strong knowledge of chemical manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and production equipment.
- Experience with ERP systems, production reporting, and inventory management.
