Responsibilities

Draw blood specimens from patients following established procedures, ensuring safety and accuracy

Prepare and process samples for laboratory testing in a timely and organized manner

Maintain accurate records and documentation related to specimen collection and processing

Establish a trusting environment with patients by explaining procedures clearly and professionally

Demonstrate leadership behaviors by focusing on process excellence and confidentiality

Perform specimen collection duties for diverse patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients

Maintain a safe and professional environment at all times

Work independently to complete daily tasks accurately and on schedule

Required Skills

Strong phlebotomy skills with experience in clinical specimen collection

Excellent customer service and communication skills

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Proficient keyboard and data entry skills

Attention to detail and accuracy in specimen handling and documentation

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington

Minimum of 6 months phlebotomy experience required; 1+ years preferred

Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred

Reliable transportation and the ability to be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays

Must be punctual, dependable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Availability to work scheduled shifts and stay for the entire shift without excessive absenteeism or tardiness
