A hospital inpatient pharmacy opportunity is available in Lansdale, PA, for a Pharmacist starting in early August with an 8-week contract duration. This role centers on reviewing and dispensing medication orders within a clinical setting, ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review medication orders from physicians and healthcare providers to confirm appropriate drug selection, dosage, frequency, and administration route.
  • Assess patient allergies, medical history, potential drug interactions, and lab results to prevent clinical conflicts before dispensing medications.
  • Oversee inventory control to maintain adequate medication supplies.
  • Provide medication information and support to healthcare team members.
  • Supervise pharmacy students and technicians in medication preparation to guarantee accuracy and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams in care planning and discharge processes for patients.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education is required.
  • Doctorate Degree (PharmD) is preferred.
  • At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Pharmacist License is mandatory.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
