Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Pharmacist in Charge position available at a home infusion pharmacy in Wayne, NJ, seeking an experienced and licensed professional to oversee pharmacy operations and regulatory compliance. This is a 12-week contract opportunity ideal for candidates holding active pharmacist licenses in both New Jersey and California.

Position Overview:We require a New Jersey-licensed pharmacist with an active license in California to serve as Pharmacist in Charge. While sterile compounding experience is highly desirable, it is not mandatory. The pharmacy team includes 7 Technicians, 4 Pharmacists, a Director of Pharmacy, and a Pharmacy Coordinator.

Schedule:

  • Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • No on-call duties required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with sterile and hazardous drug compounding standards
  • Support staff development through training and performance management
  • Maintain adherence to state and federal pharmacy laws, Board of Pharmacy regulations, and DEA requirements
  • Manage and oversee the team of Pharmacists and Technicians, maintaining operational efficiency and regulatory compliance
  • Review and approve patient care plans, verifying therapy appropriateness, dosing, and medication compatibility

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist Licenses in New Jersey and California
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or in pharmacy management
  • Experience verifying sterile medications
  • IV compounding expertise is preferred but not required
  • Local candidates only due to licensing requirements
