We are seeking three dedicated Special Education Teachers for engaging contract opportunities serving students in settings designed for Significant Support Needs (SSN) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Positions are conveniently located near Englewood, CO, with assignments running from August 19, 2026, through May 27, 2027. Working 37.5 hours per week, you’ll play a crucial role in specialized classrooms within a highly supportive district well-versed in hosting contract professionals.
Openings are available for:
- High School SSN Center
- Elementary SSN Center
- Elementary ASD Center
Key Qualifications:
- Active SPED Generalist license required
- Experience working with students with significant support needs or ASD, preferably within a school setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
- Flexible, resourceful, and patient approach to teaching and individualized student support
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique learning and behavioral needs
- Differentiate instruction using a range of strategies, materials, and assistive technologies
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that promotes growth and engagement for all students
- Collaborate with general education staff, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate records, track progress, and communicate regularly with stakeholders
- Participate in district and agency-provided professional development as appropriate
