Desired Qualifications:
- ASHA Certification and valid ABSESPA licensure required
- Must hold a Professional Educator Certification specific to Alabama
- All necessary credentialing for SLPA practice in Alabama, including fingerprint clearance
- Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Support licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering therapy and interventions to students
- Assist in creating and implementing student-specific communication strategies and activities
- Document progress and report on student outcomes as required
- Participate in team meetings, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, and progress discussions
- Communicate professionally with staff, students, and families
