Qualifications:
- Valid and active Louisiana DOE Teaching Certification (must be fully credentialed; Temporary Authority to Teach not accepted)
- Strong background in high school mathematics instruction within general education settings
- Confidence in classroom management and cultivating a positive, productive learning atmosphere
- Ability to navigate quickly through credentialing requirements, including district-level drug screening and fingerprint clearance
- Flexibility to adapt to different school assignments and embrace new challenges as needed
Responsibilities:
- Deliver clear, age-appropriate math lessons to high school students following curriculum standards
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for mathematics
- Track student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction to individual learning needs
- Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance instructional practices and support student achievement
- Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
