Responsibilities

Draw blood samples from patients of all ages, including pediatric and geriatric populations, following established procedures.

Prepare specimens for laboratory testing, ensuring accuracy and proper handling.

Maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment while adhering to all safety and confidentiality protocols.

Accurately document and record specimen collection details, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.

Provide clear communication and reassurance to patients during the blood collection process, fostering trust and confidence.

Perform specimen processing duties with confidence, including both forensic and clinical collections.

Support daily operational activities and maintain organizational commitment to process excellence.

Required Skills

Excellent phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric collections.

Strong customer service and communication abilities.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Proficiency in keyboard and data entry tasks.

Additional Skills & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.

Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.

Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience is required, with over one year preferred.

Flexible availability to work weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as needed.

Reliable transportation to ensure timely arrival at the worksite—must be within 20-25 minutes of the location.

Must be prepared to work whenever scheduled, and demonstrate punctuality and commitment for entire shifts.
