Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification
- Proven experience working in a special education setting, K-12 preferred
- Demonstrated skill as an ARD (Admission, Review, and Dismissal) Facilitator
- Strong communication and collaborative abilities with staff, students, and families
- Ability to develop and adapt Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Up-to-date knowledge of federal and state special education laws and best practices
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction tailored to students’ individual needs and abilities
- Facilitate ARD meetings for the development, review, and termination of IEPs
- Collaborate with colleagues, related service providers, and families to ensure comprehensive student support
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with all legal and procedural requirements
- Foster a welcoming and supportive classroom environment
- Utilize data-driven strategies to monitor and report on student progress
- Provide ongoing advocacy and guidance for students with special needs
