Exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact working with young learners in a supportive educational environment! A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for the upcoming school year, focusing on students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with dedicated school staff to help children advance their communication and language skills.
This assignment begins August 7, 2026 and runs through May 28, 2027, offering you a chance to work a steady 37.5-hour work week in a school-based setting near Willoughby, OH. Both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and SLPs holding Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are welcome to apply—there’s support for every stage of your professional journey.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility in Ohio
- SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY status accepted
- Experience with pediatric populations, particularly K-5th grade, is highly valued
- Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and data collection in a school setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Conduct evaluations and write comprehensive reports
- Develop, implement, and update IEPs and treatment plans
- Maintain consistent documentation and progress tracking
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Offer guidance and education to teachers and parents as needed
