For the 2026-2027 school year, this full-time, contract role is ideal for professionals who excel in collaborative environments and leadership within the special education department.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification for Illinois
  • Background working with elementary-aged students (K-2 preferred)
  • Experience chairing or facilitating IEP, MTSS, and 504 meetings strongly desired
  • Comfortable working with a caseload of approximately 75 students with IEPs
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with special education teams, teachers, and administration
  • Familiarity with cognitive assessment tools; willingness to participate in evaluations a plus
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead special education team meetings and facilitate eligibility determinations
  • Coordinate and participate in IEP meetings, ensuring compliance and best practices
  • Facilitate problem solving and MTSS meetings to support student success
  • Organize and lead 504 meetings, providing guidance and compliance support
  • Oversee student evaluations as needed, with minimal required direct student contact
  • Serve as a key liaison between school staff, families, and external professionals

Enjoy the opportunity to work regular school hours from 7:45 A.M. to 2:55 P.M., fostering a strong work-life balance. This rewarding full-time role offers a consistent weekly schedule of 37.5 hours. Compensation for this contract position is $54 per hour.
