Payroll Administrator Schedule: Mon - Fri 8am - 5pm - onsite Compensation: $27/hr - $30/hr
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail oriented Payroll Administrator to join a collaborative payroll team supporting a large, multi state workforce. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations, and providing support for year end activities and special projects.
The ideal candidate will have experience processing multi state payroll, strong attention to detail, and advanced Excel skills. This position offers the opportunity to work within a fast paced environment alongside a knowledgeable team that values direct communication, accountability, and technical expertise.

Position Overview

This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining employee payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable payroll regulations, and providing support for year end activities and special projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process biweekly payroll for approximately thousands of employees across multiple states.
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and payroll regulations.
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within the payroll system.
- Process new hire, employee change, and termination documentation.
- Generate and process manual payroll checks as needed.
- Administer wage garnishments and related payroll deductions.
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
- Assist with payroll reporting, reconciliations, and year end payroll activities.
- Support payroll related projects, process improvements, and ad hoc requests.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience preferred.
- Experience processing high volume, multi state payroll.
- Working knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with HRIS or payroll systems such as ADP Workforce Now
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
