This dynamic role is based at an elementary school serving students with diverse learning needs. The position begins approximately on August 31, 2026, and continues through June 4, 2027, with a commitment of 37.5 hours per week, offering the chance to make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Valid Minnesota teaching license with dual certification in Special Education (required; to be submitted as a PDF with application)
  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, ideally in a resource setting
  • Strong understanding of IEP processes, documentation, and differentiation strategies
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Skilled in classroom management, student engagement, and individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and support to K-5 students in the resource classroom setting
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Utilize data-driven strategies to track student progress and adapt lesson plans accordingly
  • Communicate regularly with families and staff to support student learning and development
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with district, state, and federal special education requirements
