Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Special Education licensure for K-6 or PK-3
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in a resource or specialized classroom setting
- Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about helping every student achieve their best
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small group instruction aligned with students' IEPs in an elementary resource classroom
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure consistent and appropriate accommodations and modifications
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans tailored to diverse learning needs
- Regularly communicate with families and caregivers about student progress and classroom events
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student assessment and compliance requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team decision-making processes
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom culture
