Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Special Education Resource Teacher, working full-time with elementary students in grades K-4. This contract role offers the chance to make a significant impact, providing tailored instruction and support to a caseload of around 15 students primarily focused on BEH-SLD in Math and Reading. You'll play a vital role in fostering growth, independence, and success for young learners in a collaborative, respectful, and engaging environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification or eligibility in Missouri
  • Experience supporting elementary-aged students, ideally in resource or self-contained settings
  • Confidence and skill in addressing Behavioral and Specific Learning Disabilities (BEH-SLD), especially in Math and Reading
  • Strong collaboration and communication abilities, working closely with general educators, support staff, and families
  • Commitment to individualized instruction, IEP implementation, and ongoing student progress monitoring
  • Passion for creating inclusive, positive learning experiences for all children

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and small group instruction to K-4 students with BEH-SLD, focusing on Math and Reading
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 15 students, developing, updating, and implementing IEPs
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student goals
  • Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
  • Foster a supportive, structured classroom climate that encourages student growth and engagement
  • Participate in IEP meetings and maintain clear communication with all stakeholders
