Speech Language Pathologist in Avon Park, FL
Job Description
A fulfilling opportunity awaits for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certified with the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) to support early learners in a PreK setting. This contract-based, part-time position offers a maximum of 25 hours per week, all conducted on-site for hands-on involvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing direct speech-language therapy to PreK students in a supportive, engaging environment
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized treatment plans tailored to young children’s needs
- Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to student development
- Maintaining accurate records of student progress, session notes, and communications
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings when necessary
- Staying current with best practices and relevant educational compliance requirements
Qualifications and background:
- Active SLP license and CCC certification
- Previous experience working with preschool-age children preferred
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques for young learners
- Commitment to providing services in person as required for this role
