Make a meaningful impact in the educational and emotional development of students by supporting schools near Waterbury, CT as a School Psychologist. These contract opportunities offer the chance to collaborate onsite within dynamic learning environments, providing direct support to students and educators.

There are two openings available, with assignments spanning respected institutions and scheduled from late August 2026 through March 2027, and an additional assignment from October 2026 to mid-January 2027. Each role is designed for professionals invested in nurturing student success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Valid and active Connecticut School Psychologist License (required)
  • Previous experience within a school setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of academic and behavioral assessment tools
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to establish rapport with students, staff, and families
  • Commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice in all student interactions
  • Capacity to adapt strategies for diverse populations and needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and evaluations for students
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide direct counseling and interventions for students
  • Offer consultation to families and staff regarding student needs and strategies for success
  • Participate actively in school meetings, parent conferences, and professional development activities
