Gen Ed Teacher - Plainfield, Illinois

This full-time, contract position starts August 26, 2026, and continues through June 3, 2027, aligning with the academic year. Working from 7:30AM to 2:21PM, you’ll be part of a dedicated school community focused on fostering growth, creativity, and achievement at the junior high level.

You’ll manage a diverse classroom, implement engaging lesson plans, and use your expertise to support students’ academic and social development. Qualifications and Experience:

• Holds active Illinois teaching licensure and certification
• Current CTE (Career and Technical Education) endorsement required
• Prior experience within a school-based setting
• Prepared to participate in a 30-minute interview
• Demonstrated ability to deliver general teaching duties effectively
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in general education subjects according to the school curriculum
• Design and differentiate lesson plans to meet varied student needs
• Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting methods as appropriate
• Engage and motivate students through interactive and inclusive classroom activities
• Maintain a positive, organized, and productive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student learning
• Participate in school meetings, professional development, and special events
