Key qualifications and experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in New Mexico
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, though Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
- Previous experience working with school-aged children with a variety of communication needs
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations to identify students’ speech and language challenges
- Developing, updating, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Delivering direct therapy services to individuals and small groups
- Collaborating with educators, administrators, and families to support students’ learning goals
- Documenting progress, maintaining records, and participating in IEP meetings
- Providing consultation and resources to teachers to promote communication-rich classrooms
