School-Based Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) | Apopka, Florida

Step into an exciting opportunity as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting students in elementary settings throughout the Leesburg and Claremont areas. This full-time contract position allows you to make a positive impact on the lives of K–5 students, with some involvement in Pre-K, across four school sites (not all visited daily).

Your workday runs from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, ensuring you have dedicated time for both professional focus and personal balance. You'll collaborate closely with other education professionals to create supportive, engaging environments that help young learners reach their potential. This role starts August 10, 2026 and continues through May 28, 2027.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active Florida licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
• Previous school-based experience preferred, though not required
• Comfortable working within an itinerant model, serving multiple campuses
• Ability to manage a caseload of 46–60 students, providing direct services under OT guidance
• Strong communication, organization, and collaborative skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services to elementary-aged students, including some Pre-K, as directed by supervising OTs
• Support student participation in academic and daily living activities
• Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school and program standards
• Travel between assigned campuses as scheduled
• Participate in ongoing onboarding and credentialing processes required by the district
