LHH is working with a respected organization on the north side of Columbus, OH that is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support its finance and administrative operations. This contract position offers exposure to a variety of accounting functions and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced business environment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting monthly accounting activities
- Enter, update, and maintain accounting records within QuickBooks
- Support budget preparation efforts by compiling and organizing financial information
- Calculate and track commission payments while ensuring accurate reporting
- Perform account reconciliations and assist with investigating discrepancies
- Generate payroll and accounting reports for internal stakeholders
- Provide occasional administrative support, including assisting with incoming calls as needed
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred
- Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial administration
- Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and data management functions
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Hands-on experience supporting a variety of accounting processes
- Exposure to financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, and payroll activities
