Job Summary
We are seeking a Receptionist / Patient Experience Specialist for a direct hire opportunity in South Jordan, UT. This role is ideal for a customer-focused administrative professional with dental office experience who enjoys helping patients feel informed, supported, and prepared throughout their visit.
The Receptionist / Patient Experience Specialist plays a key role in creating a smooth front office experience, from patient check-in and scheduling to treatment plan coordination, insurance pre-authorization, payment processing, and patient communication. This is a highly visible position that works closely with the Office Manager, clinical team, staff, and patients to support efficient daily operations.
This opportunity offers a collaborative office environment where teamwork, professionalism, and patient care are top priorities. Candidates who are detail-oriented, bilingual in English and Spanish, and motivated to contribute to a positive patient experience will be well positioned for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome patients, verify demographics, manage patient access forms, complete consents, and support a professional check-in and check-out experience.
- Review approved treatment plans with patients and assist with financial arrangements for multi-visit treatments.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate faculty, staff, student, and chair availability to support utilization goals and patient flow.
- Gather insurance information, complete pre-authorizations, and coordinate treatment-related documentation.
- Receive and respond to patient communications and outside inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage daily payment transactions, resolve payment discrepancies, and ensure accurate posting to patient accounts.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour.
- Job Type: Direct Hire.
- Schedule: On-site position with the expectation of 40+ hours per week.
- Location: South Jordan, UT.
