Take advantage of a true 12-hour shift model with just seven shifts per month in a community emergency department. You'll work independently with APP coverage during peak daytime hours and trauma team support when higher-acuity cases arise.

Highlights

• Seven shifts per month with a preferred four-shift minimum stretch
• 12-hour day and night shifts
• Solo physician coverage with APP support from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
• Approximately 45 emergency department visits per day

Practice & Cases

• Inpatient emergency department treating patients of all ages
• Bread-and-butter emergency medicine with trauma team support for complex cases
• Standard procedures consistent with a Level IV trauma facility
• Community hospital with 49 beds, including obstetric services

Schedule

• 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Seven shifts each month
• Preferred scheduling in blocks of four consecutive shifts
• No call; holidays only if scheduled in advance

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Michigan license required or open to IMLC Physicians with an active Letter of Qualification
• Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Board Eligible within 5 years
• ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA required

• Travel accommodations available for the assignment
