Step into an impactful role serving PreK-5th grade students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract, part-time opportunity near Kokomo, IN, offers the ideal mix of flexibility, collaboration, and clinical excellence—perfect for professionals who excel in both traditional and teletherapy educational settings.
Work three flexible days per week within a supportive building environment featuring a dedicated SLPA on-site five days a week. Oversee and uplift student communication development during the school bell hours of 9am to 3:30pm EST. Experienced SLPs who enjoy mentorship will find opportunities to assist in supervising, although this is an added bonus rather than a requirement.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current CCC credential (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Active (or eligible for) Indiana state SLP licensure
- Pediatric experience, particularly with students in PreK-5th grade
- Knowledge of school-based SLP service delivery, IEP processes, and progress monitoring
- Skilled in teletherapy platforms and remote intervention strategies
- Comfortable collaborating with SLPA staff and school teams
- Ability to supervise is a plus, though not required
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy for PreK-5th students
- Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and document progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, teaming closely with educators, families, and staff
- Utilize teletherapy tools, as appropriate, to support student needs
- Offer support and occasional supervision to SLPA as needed
