Key Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting, particularly at the elementary level.
- Strong understanding of individualized education programs (IEPs) and relevant documentation.
- Skill in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy services to an elementary caseload.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat students with limited verbal abilities, utilizing AAC devices as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized goals and therapeutic interventions within the educational setting.
- Maintain accurate records, complete necessary documentation, and participate in IEP meetings.
- Collaborate seamlessly with teachers, specialists, families, and support staff to optimize student outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support for integrating AAC technology in the classroom and at home.
