Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Connecticut School Psychologist license (required for consideration)
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology, or closely related field
- Prior experience providing psychological services in school settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Commitment to fostering safe, supportive, and inclusive learning atmospheres
Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral interventions
- Provide counseling and crisis intervention services for students as needed
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and strategies for support
- Participate in meetings, contribute to team discussions, and ensure documentation aligns with state and district policies
- Promote mental health awareness and preventative strategies within the school community
Contract assignments are onsite, with hours totaling 35 per week at either a high school or an elementary setting, depending on placement. You’ll contribute to a supportive educational environment where your skills play a vital role in student success.
