Skills and Experience Sought:

  • Valid School Psychologist certification or license (Illinois PEL with School Psychologist endorsement preferred)
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field
  • Experience conducting psychoeducational assessments and interpreting results
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Dedication to ethical practice, confidentiality, and inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and interpret cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, staff, and parents to develop effective interventions and strategies
  • Contribute to IEP and 504 meetings, offering expertise to ensure student needs are met
  • Help support crisis intervention, prevention programs, and behavior management plans
  • Provide direct and consultative counseling to students as needed
  • Document findings and maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state guidelines
  • Foster a positive, safe, and supportive school climate for all students
