Job Description

This contract opportunity focuses on providing speech-language services within a school setting, engaging with students and collaborating with educational professionals to promote communication skills and learning.
Three full-time, onsite positions are available, offering variety in school placements and schedules:
- Pinson Valley High School (full-time)
- McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary (split: 2 days/3 days)
- Hueytown Middle School/Lipscomb Elementary (split: 3 days/2 days)
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active SLP certification in Alabama
- SLP Educator certification (verify at the provided state certification website)
- ASHA CCCs strongly desired; clinical fellows considered
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and compliance requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 60 students
- Conduct assessments, develop and implement IEPs, and maintain required documentation
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student achievement
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to intervention planning
- Stay current with best practices and compliance standards for school-based speech services
