Pharmacy Technician - Long-Term Care Pharmacy

Chatham, IL 62629 (Onsite)
$17.50-$20.00/hour (based on experience)

We are seeking Pharmacy Technicians to join a growing Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy in Chatham, IL. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while making a meaningful impact on patient care.

What You'll Do:

  • Count, package, and label medication orders accurately.
  • Fill prescription orders in a high-volume pharmacy, with a productivity goal of up to 200 prescriptions per day.
  • Organize, manage, and replenish pharmacy inventory.
  • Restock dispensing stations and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Follow pharmacy procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Active Illinois Pharmacy Technician License, OR the ability and willingness to obtain an Illinois Pharmacy Technician License upon accepting the position.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physical inventory tasks.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Care (LTC) Pharmacy.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy SIG codes and medical terminology.
  • Customer service experience involving medical documentation, insurance, or healthcare settings.

  • Retail Pharmacy
  • Inventory/Warehouse
  • Assembly/Manufacturing
  • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Direct Support Professional (DSP)
  • Medication Technician (Med Tech)

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (1-hour lunch)
  • Rotating Saturdays: Approximately every 3rd Saturday (9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)
  • Closed Sundays
