Retail Staff Pharmacist | Paris, Kentucky

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, is seeking a dedicated full-time Staff Pharmacist to enhance their team. This opportunity is ideal for pharmacists with recent retail experience who thrive in a fast-paced setting and enjoy delivering exceptional patient care. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications while supporting both patients and pharmacy staff.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense prescriptions
• Counsel patients and provide thorough medication-related information
• Oversee pharmacy workflow and support pharmacy technicians
• Utilize PioneerRx software to process and manage prescriptions
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Ensure smooth daily operations within a high-volume environment, averaging 3,000 prescriptions per week
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and team members
• Provide Saturday coverage approximately 1 to 2 times per month as scheduled

Qualifications:

• Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx pharmacy system preferred
• Proven ability to work effectively in a high-volume setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Flexible availability to work one to two Saturdays per month

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four days per week)
• Saturday: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (1-2 times per month)

Additional Details:

• Pharmacy staffed weekdays with two pharmacists and 5-6 technicians; Saturdays staffed with one pharmacist and 3-4 technicians
• Full-time position in a dynamic retail pharmacy environment
