This contract position offers the chance to work closely with a small caseload—just seven students—in a supportive educational environment that values your dedication and unique skill set. Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction for elementary students with moderate to severe disabilities in accordance with IEPs.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to promote academic, social, and behavioral growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with support staff, therapists, families, and administrators.
  • Adapt curriculum and assessments to meet diverse learner needs.
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and documentation.
  • Foster an inclusive and safe classroom environment where every child feels valued.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Kentucky Special Education certification with Moderate/Severe Disabilities (MSD) endorsement.
  • Demonstrated experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities.
  • Deep understanding of IEP implementation and progress monitoring.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for supporting the unique abilities and potential of each student.

This elementary SPED teaching opportunity is offered as a W2 hourly contract with a competitive rate ranging from $30-35 per hour, reflecting your specialized qualifications and experience.
