Special Education Teacher in Odem, TX

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification
• Experience working with students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities (depending on assigned position)
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to adapt instruction to meet varied learning styles and needs
• Previous experience in school-based settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction and modify curriculum based on student needs
• Work closely with general education staff to provide inclusion support or lead adaptive classrooms
• Develop and maintain accurate, timely documentation including IEPs and progress reports
• Communicate regularly with families, support staff, and administration to support student growth
• Participate actively in team meetings, professional development, and training sessions
• Support a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment both in and outside the classroom
