Pre-K Special Education Teacher (PSD & PSI)

Position: Pre-K Special Education Teacher (PSD & PSI)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Assignment Dates: September 1, 2026 – June 25, 2027

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Pre-K Special Education Teachers to support preschool-aged students with disabilities in specialized educational settings. The ideal candidates will be committed to fostering student growth through individualized instruction, collaborative teamwork, and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Required Certifications:

  • New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Certification
  • Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) Certification or Teacher of the Handicapped (TOH) Certification

Preschool Integrated (PSI) Teacher

Required Certifications:

  • New Jersey Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Certification
  • New Jersey Special Education Certification (TOSD or TOH accepted)

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide developmentally appropriate instruction for preschool-aged students with disabilities.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with related service providers, school staff, and families to support student success.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate educational records.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.

Qualifications

  • Valid New Jersey teaching certification required.
  • Resume required to be considered for an interview.
  • Experience working with preschool-aged students with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement IEP-driven instruction.
  • Commitment to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of young learners.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of early childhood development and special education best practices.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Passion for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment for all students.
Compensation for this position ranges from $25.97 to $47.97. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
