School Speech Language Pathologist - Arlington Heights, IL

This role offers Speech-Language Pathologists with their CCC the chance to deliver services to 12th-grade students in a collaborative educational setting. The assignment runs from August 19, 2024, through May 30, 2025, with a consistent 35 hour-per-week schedule that aligns with the school calendar.

What you’ll bring:

• Current Speech-Language Pathology license for the state with active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Recent experience providing school-based SLP services, ideally with adolescents/teens
• Strong ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families
• Comfort with assessments, IEP development, and implementation of evidence-based intervention strategies
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills

Your responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for 12th-grade students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals that address speech, language, and social communication needs
• Provide direct and consultative therapy services, using engaging and accessible approaches for high schoolers
• Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
• Document student progress and communicate results to families and multidisciplinary teams
• Participate in IEP meetings, in-service trainings, and professional development as needed
