Job Description
Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting high school students for the 2024-2025 school year! This role offers Speech-Language Pathologists with their CCC the chance to deliver services to 12th-grade students in a collaborative educational setting. The assignment runs from August 19, 2024, through May 30, 2025, with a consistent 35 hour-per-week schedule that aligns with the school calendar.
What you’ll bring:
- Current Speech-Language Pathology license for the state with active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Recent experience providing school-based SLP services, ideally with adolescents/teens
- Strong ability to collaborate with educators, staff, and families
- Comfort with assessments, IEP development, and implementation of evidence-based intervention strategies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
Your responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments for 12th-grade students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and IEP goals that address speech, language, and social communication needs
- Provide direct and consultative therapy services, using engaging and accessible approaches for high schoolers
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and support staff to foster an inclusive learning environment
- Document student progress and communicate results to families and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings, in-service trainings, and professional development as needed
