School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Bessemer, Alabama

We’re seeking passionate Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP, SLP-CCC) to provide essential services to a diverse caseload. Your placements will be at one of the following sites: Pinson Valley High School (full-time), McAdory Elementary/McCalla Elementary (split schedule), or Hueytown Middle/Lipscomb Elementary (split schedule). Each SLP specialist will work a 37.5-hour week, managing a caseload of approximately 60 students. Collaboration with educators, families, and administration is key to fostering progress and communication skills in students.

Desired Qualifications:

• Current SLP Certification in Alabama
• SLP Educator Certificate
• Previous experience in a school-based setting is highly desirable
• Ability to manage a caseload of around 60 students
• Familiarity with IEP processes and compliance
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Willingness to work onsite exclusively across assigned campuses
• Successful fingerprint clearance as per Alabama educator requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEPs
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration for student support
